Looking for something fun? Come to Art Walk Easthampton on the "Second Saturday" of the month from 5-8 pm. Locations all over Easthampton host free visual, music and performance art events in an energetic sampling of local, regional and national talent. Just look for large, yellow Art Walk banners outside each participating venue.

There's lots of free parking all over town and many locations are in easy walking distance of others. So grab a friend and come explore Easthampton's best galleries, shops, restaurants, pubs and music venues during the Art Walk. Some venues have posted descriptions of their next event below:

Event: RED - An Easthampton City Arts curated group exhibit. With Valentine's Day approaching, and in celebration of Art Walk Easthampton's 2nd Annual Fire & Ice Celebration, this group show will feature the works of area artists with the theme of RED. Painting, photography, sculpture, jewelry, fiberarts, and much more. Submissions are still be accepted until January 20th. All works may not make it into the exhibit due to space limitations. Artist: RED - Group Show - In the Display Case	Medium: Mixed Media
Venue: Easthampton City Arts	Address: 43 Main St.
Event: Complementing the RED group exhibit will be an assortment of local art and craft items on display in the ECA Gallery display case. Following on the theme of RED, there will be boxed card sets, quilted items, fused glass bowls, and other interesting items to tempt your Valentine sweetheart.

Event: Each artist possesses a unique way, making marks, like a signature. As artists gain experience and confidence, works become vehicles to sharing heart & soul with the world. Venue: Elusie Gallery	Address: 43 Main St.
Event: Introspective / Retrospective: Retrospective exhibition by Laurie Goddard, Shelburne Falls Artist with studios both in Shelburne Falls and in the I Cottage St. building in Easthampton. This exhibit features work in various media – acrylic, mixed media, encaustic – from the last 5 years, showcasing Goddard’s constant creativity and boldness. “ I am influenced by the great Modernists and the Abstract Impressionists, as well as recorded Music and Poetry. Gesture, serenity, memory, elegance and the thrill of the hunt are my main motives for painting.”

Event: For Art Walk we will be having a class from 2-6pm called Illuminated Ice Caves. We thought this would coordinate perfectly with your Fire and Ice theme. We will have felted ice caves lit up around the store. Folks can watch the making of ice caves as well as the finished pieces.

Artist: Mischa Epstein 'Ready to Thaw'	Medium: Collage

Event: Hopes for warmth and whimsy in the coming season. Mischa Epstein Alvarado creates warm and inviting collages from handmade paper and paint, with both whimsical and sophisticated style. She is influenced by all her past and present surroundings, including having grown up in New England. Each piece has a personality and life all its own.

Venue: Invisible Fountain Event Time: 6-9 pm	Address: 116 Pleasant St, Eastworks Bldg, Suite 206
Event: Calling all wallflowers and extroverts, as well as anyone in between. Just wear something colorful and you can pretend to be one of the paintings. Act out or be laid back - it's up to you. Have some cheese and crackers and wine. Pick out a painting. Blend in.

Artist: Christopher Blair	Medium: Painting - Acrylic
Venue: Mt.Tom's Homemade Ice Cream	Address: 34 Cottage St
Event: Chris was born and raised in Holyoke. He attended the visual arts program at Holyoke Community College and later received a scholarship to the School of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston. His works have shown in Holyoke, Easthampton, and Florence. His work is a conglomeration of styles ranging from surrealism to abstract expressionism. It exudes a sense of freedom as well as discipline.

Event: February's Fire and Ice theme continues from 5 - 8 p.m., and in several locations you will be greeted with Ice Votives to light your way. Depending upon the weather, of course, these candles should adorn the steps of the Old Town Hall, Nashawannuck Gallery, Mt. Tom's Homemade Ice Cream, and several other locations.
