Artist: Christopher Blair Medium: Painting - Acrylic Venue: Mt.Tom's Homemade Ice Cream Address: 34 Cottage St Event: Chris was born and raised in Holyoke. He attended the visual arts program at Holyoke Community College and later received a scholarship to the School of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston. His works have shown in Holyoke, Easthampton, and Florence. His work is a conglomeration of styles ranging from surrealism to abstract expressionism. Artist: Paul J. Robitaille Medium: Photography Venue: Riff's Joint Address: 36 Union St. Event: Paul has been capturing New Englands unique environment in photographs ever since his parents put a camera in his hands at an early age. Most recently, Paul has published some of his photographs in a book of poetry, 'Tangle With A Thistle' written by his nephew Shane Robitaille. I enjoy drawing in pen and ink and then layering the paint and then more ink and so on until I feel a piece is finished. I paint objects that are around me from my cat to my sewing machine.
