Artist: Ben Westbrock 'Adventures' Medium: Sculpture Venue: Nash Gallery Address: 40 Cottage St Event: Ben Westbrock has been building pieces out of clay for over 20 years, focusing on wall sculpture and cast pieces and transitioned to creating standing pieces, vase-like forms, several years ago. The pieces in this show have been created in the past several years, both here and in San Miguel, Mexico, where I spend the winter. Students in grade kindergarten-fourth grade will work with six local artists in making art aimed to expand their artistic experience. This collaborative program will tap Easthampton’s artist community, and showcase their work with students in a town-wide art show. Artist: Susan Halls Medium: Ceramics - Pottery Venue: White Square Address: 86 Cottage Street Event: Easthampton resident and ceramic artist Susan Halls will exhibit and discuss her recent work. Born in Kent, England, Susan studied at the Medway College of Art and Design from 1984-1988 where she was awarded a scholarship by the Royal College of Art in London. She graduated with distinction in 1990. After a residency at the Banff Centre for the Arts in Canada, she established her studio in London, exhibiting widely through the United Kingdom and Europe.
