Artist: Lyell Castonguay, curatorial group exhibition Medium: Printmaking Venue: Easthampton City Arts+ Address: 43 Main St., Suite 2 Event: Lyell Castonguay will exhibit a multi-artist show, “ESCAPE!!!,” in the Easthampton City Arts+ Gallery from June 8 through June 30, 2012. An artist’s reception will be held on Saturday, June 9, from 5:00-8:00 p.m. as part of Art Walk Easthampton. Castonguay independently curated the show, inviting fourteen other printmakers from seven different states for an artistic exploration of the literal and metaphorical implications of the concept of escape. He has found his most stimulating painting experiences in the wooded and coastal areas of Cape Cod, Maine, and the hill towns surrounding Ashfield.
